John Lamb writes, an estimated 4,500 followers threw on layers of green and yellow and filled Broadway between 2nd and 4th avenues.  More fans cheered from windows, patios, and rooftops flanking the street, with stages set in the intersection of 3rd avenue and Broadway.  Throughout the crowd signs were lofted, with typical Fargoisms like, “Yeah, you betcha it’s Game Day.”

The broadcast ended with television personality Lee Corso walking out of the Fargo Theatre wearing a bison head with a buffalo calf on a leash.  Lee Fitting, ESPN’s Game Day producer, added that he told the show’s host, Chris Fowler, that Saturday’s show may have been one of the best settings in the show’s 26 year history and easily the best of the current season.

Jessica Ebeling, Warner and Company employee said, “The excitement downtown was unbelievable. Thousands of people all gathering to support the largest televised event our community has ever seen.  Five million people an hour watched our humble ND town showcased on ESPN.  I was proud to hear an ESPN host say this was the hosts’ favorite location to date. Well done Fargo.”
